Texas High School Basketball - Waltrip overwhelmed by Sterling

The Sterling Raiders basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Waltrip Rams to 7 in the Raiders league victory on Friday.

The Raiders now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a 5A Region III District 19 contest on Monday, January 29. Sterling will battle a Panthers team coming off a 57-25 league win over Waltrip (Houston, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 8-9.

The Rams (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Galena Park (Galena Park, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 5A Region III District 19 contest with a 13-14 record. In their last contest, Galena Park triumphed over Milby (Houston, TX), 68-21, in a league contest.
