Thrasher Rebels (Booneville, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wheeler Eagles (Wheeler, MS), 43-34 in a league bout.
With the win, Thrasher upgrades its record to 10-13 on the season. The Rebels host Vardaman (Vardaman, MS) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 5-14.
Next up, the Eagles clash with the Baldwyn Bearcats (Baldwyn, MS) in a 1A Region 1 bout, on Monday, January 29. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 49-25 league win over Tremont (Tremont, MS).
