The Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC) basketball felled the visiting Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), 63-49 in Friday's league test.
The Chargers (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Epiphany (New Bern, NC). The Falcons go into the NCISAA Coastal Plain test with a 5-14 record. In their last test, Epiphany thwarted Greenfield (Wilson, NC), 41-37, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 13-2 record. They play next when they host Greenfield for a NCISAA Coastal Plain test on Tuesday, January 30. Wayne Christian will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 43-30 league loss to Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Knights record now stands at 7-10.
