The New Hanover Wildcats topped the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle basketball team by a final score of 45-31 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Kinston Vikings (Kinston, NC) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 27. New Hanover will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 10-2 record after their 40-22 non-league win over South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC).

With the defeat, Ashley moves to 2-5 on the year. The Screaming eagle travel to Laney (Wilmington, NC) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league game on Friday, February 2. The Buccaneers enter the game with a record of 2-4.
