The Kinston Vikings (Kinston, NC) basketball knocked off the host South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC), 40-22 in Friday's non-league test.
The Vikings (10-2) will now prepare for their test against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 9-0 record. In their last test, New Hanover notched a victory over Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 45-31, in a non-league test.
The Blue Devils now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Wallace-Rose Hill for a test on Tuesday, January 30. South Lenoir will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 24-13 non-league win over Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-5.
