Virginia High School Basketball - Radford can't hold off Alleghany

The Alleghany Cougars basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Radford Bobcats to 36 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patrick County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Alleghany will battle a Cougars team coming off a 58-31 non-league loss to Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 1-9.
The Bobcats (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Pulaski County was nudged by Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA), 46-36, in a non-league contest.
