In Friday's non-league outing, the Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA), by a margin of 47-17.

The Raiders (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Statesmen go into the non-league outing with a 5-5 record. In their last outing, Randolph-Henry was trounced by Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA), 51-37, in a non-league outing.

The Dukes now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Lunenburg Central for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 30. Cumberland will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 33-19 non-league loss to Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 0-12.
