McKinleyville Panthers (McKinleyville, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Arcata Tigers (Arcata, CA), 53-40 in a league bout.

With the win, McKinleyville upgrades its record to 20-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 2-4. St. Bernard's won 70-41 in their recent league bout against Ferndale (Ferndale, CA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Del Norte Warriors (Crescent City, CA) in a bout, on Friday, February 2. Arcata will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
