North Carolina High School Basketball - South Point crushes Ashbrook

January 26, 2024: Gastonia, NC 28054

South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), 51-23 in a league bout.

With the win, South Point upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Red Raiders host Forestview (Gastonia, NC) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Forestview lost 58-51 in their recent non-league bout against Crest (Shelby, NC)

Next up, the Greenwave clash with the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Ashbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 52-49 league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC).
