New Mexico High School Basketball - Belen knocked off by Highland

The Highland Hornets basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Belen Eagles to 50 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.
The Hornets now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albuquerque Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, January 27. Highland will meet a Chargers team coming off a 54-44 non-league loss to Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Chargers record now stands at 8-5.
With the defeat, Belen moves to 8-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Grants (Grants, NM) to meet the Pirates in a match on Friday, February 2. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 1-3.
