Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Chula Vista Spartans (Chula Vista, CA), 50-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sweetwater upgrades its record to 6-15 on the campaign. The Red Devils host High Tech CV (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Bruins in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Bruins come into the bout with a record of 10-2. High Tech CV won 51-42 in their recent league bout against O'Farrell Charter (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Chula Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 13-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 70-38 league win over Montgomery (San Diego, CA).
