With the win, Douglas Byrd upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to South View (Hope Mills, NC) to play the Tigers in a bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-5. South View lost 69-51 in their recent league bout against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Jack Britt will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 71-45 league loss to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC).
