Galena Pirates (Galena, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting River Ridge Wildcats (Hanover, IL), 33-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Galena upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Stockton (Stockton, IL) to play the Blackhawks in a bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Stockton won 48-40 in their recent league bout against Warren (Warren, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Warren Warriors (Warren, IL) in a bout, on Wednesday, February 7. River Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record.
