Grace Academy Lions (Matthews, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host South Charlotte Thunder Thunder (Matthews, NC), 48-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grace Academy upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC) to play the Stallions in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Stallions come into the bout with a record of 3-14. Queen's Grant lost 61-31 in their recent league bout against Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Thunder play the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. South Charlotte Thunder will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record.
