Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Martinsburg Bulldogs (Martinsburg, WV), 51-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jefferson upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Musselman (Inwood, WV) to play the Applemen in a bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Applemen come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Musselman won 57-54 in their recent league bout against Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the North Hagerstown Hubs (Hagerstown, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Martinsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
