The South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Kinston Vikings (Kinston, NC), 40-38 in Friday's league test.
The Blue Devils (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Bulldogs go into the test with a 2-7 record.
The Vikings now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they host New Hanover for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. Kinston will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 40-15 non-league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-0.
