The Piedmont Classical Bobcats (Browns Summit, NC) basketball nipped the host Leadership Academy Falcons (Kernersville, NC), 45-40 in Friday's league test.
The Bobcats (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC). The Phoenix go into the test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Winston-Salem Prep got by Bethany (Summerfield, NC), 63-29, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Bishop McGuinness for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. Leadership Academy will encounter a Villains squad coming off a 64-62 non-league win over Forsyth Country Day (Lewisville, NC). The Villains record now stands at 13-3.
