Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 63-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lee County upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to play the Bucks in a bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bucks go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Hoke County won 80-46 in their recent non-league bout against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Union Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Fighting Scots go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 60-36 non-league loss to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC).
