The William Byrd Terriers basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Lord Botetourt Cavaliers to 37 in the Terriers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Terriers now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Franklin County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. William Byrd will meet a Eagles team coming off a 52-37 non-league win over Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 13-3.

The Cavaliers (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Franklin County ran past Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 36-31, in a non-league contest.
