Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC), 48-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Marvin Ridge upgrades its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 3-9.

Next up, the Warriors play the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Weddington will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
