Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 49-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sugar Creek upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC) to play the Stallions in a bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Stallions come into the bout with a record of 3-13. Queen's Grant lost 57-39 in their recent league bout against Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Patriots play the Valor Preparatory Academy Owls (Concord, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Piedmont Community Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Owls come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 57-39 league win over Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC).
