North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern Guilford can't hold off Rockingham County

The Rockingham County Cougars basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the visiting Southern Guilford Storm to 45 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ben L. Smith for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Rockingham County will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 65-46 non-league win over Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 8-4.
The Storm (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Northeast Guilford edged Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC), 62-49, in a league contest.
