The Tazewell Bulldogs basketball team scored 31 points and restricted the visiting Virginia High Bearcats to 23 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marion for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Tazewell will battle a Scarlet Hurricanes team coming off a 34-33 non-league win over Graham (Bluefield, VA). The Scarlet Hurricanes record now stands at 5-2.

The Bearcats (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against John Battle (Bristol, VA). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, John Battle was defeated by Gate City (Gate City, VA), 37-30, in a non-league contest.
