In their last challenge, Excel Academy of South Shore was knocked off by Goode STEM Academy (Chicago, IL), 52-36, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hurricanes encounter the Islamic Foundation Chargers (Villa Park, IL) in a Metro Prep challenge, on Monday, January 27. Hinsdale Adventist Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 113-42 league loss to Unity Christian Academy (South Holland, IL).
