Fans at Sunday's league battle between the North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA) and the visiting Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA), saw North Vermilion's soccer squad knock off Comeaux by a count of 3-0.

The Patriots (12-7) will now prepare for their battle against Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Crusaders enter the non-league battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Westminster Academy tipped Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA), 9-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, January 27. Comeaux will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 8-12 record after their 4-1 league loss to Kaplan (Kaplan, LA).
