Champlin Park Rebels (Champlin, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Blaine Bengals (Blaine, MN), 67-66 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Champlin Park upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Rebels host Lakeville South (Lakeville, MN) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 29. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 8-7. Lakeville South won 78-34 in their recent non-league bout against Burnsville (Burnsville, MN)

Next up, the Bengals play the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons (Plymouth, MN) in a AAAA Section 6 bout, on Wednesday, February 2. Blaine will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 68-66 league win over Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN).
