New Life Christian Academy Monarchs (Fayetteville, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting HA Prep Academy Kings (Durham, NC), 52-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Life Christian Academy upgrades its record to 16-8 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Grace Christian (Sanford, NC) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 28. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 21-3. Grace Christian won 93-51 in their recent non-league bout against Neuse Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Kings clash with the Word of God Christian Academy Holy Rams (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 1. HA Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Holy Rams go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 73-71 non-league loss to North Broward Prep (Coconut Creek, FL).
