Myrtle Point Bobcats (Myrtle Point, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Waldport Irish (Waldport, OR), 65-43 in a league bout.
With the win, Myrtle Point upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Bobcats host Toledo (Toledo, OR) to clash with the Boomers in a 2A Sunset bout on Saturday, January 29. The Boomers go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Toledo won 52-38 in their recent league bout against Gold Beach (Gold Beach, OR)
Next up, the Irish clash with the Bandon Tigers (Bandon, OR) in a 2A Sunset bout, on Saturday, January 29. Waldport will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 48-40 league win over Coquille (Coquille, OR).
