Arizona High School Basketball - Vista Grande topples Cortez

January 27, 2022: Casa Grande, AZ 85122

In Thursday's league outing, the Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ) basketball squad beat the visiting Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ), by a count of 77-59.

The Spartans (12-8) will now prepare for their outing against Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ). The Dons go into the 4A Black Canyon outing with a 1-16 record. In their last outing, Coronado defeated Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ), 44-31, in a league outing.

The Colts now hold a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Combs for a 4A Black Canyon outing on Tuesday, February 1. Cortez will clash with a Coyotes squad coming off a 48-29 league loss to Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 10-8.
