The Newhalen Malamutes basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host Dillingham Wolverines to 30 in the Malamutes non-league victory on Thursday.
The Malamutes now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Togiak for a 1A Aleutian Chain contest on Friday, January 28.
The Wolverines (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bristol Bay (Naknek, AK). The Angels come into the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Bristol Bay prevailed over Chief Ivan Blanka (New Stuyahok, AK), 48-35, in a league contest.
