Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Westmont Warriors (Campbell, CA), 28-19 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pioneer upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Del Mar (San Jose, CA) to play the Dons in a bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Dons come into the bout with a record of 4-10. Del Mar lost 28-15 in their recent non-league bout against Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Willow Glen Rams (San Jose, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Westmont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
