Cushman Cougars (Miami, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Academy for Innovative Education Aviators (Miami Springs, FL), 45-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cushman upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Cougars host Colonial Christian (Homestead, FL) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Colonial Christian lost 71-60 in their recent non-league bout against Redland Christian Academy (Homestead, FL)

Next up, the Aviators play the Doctors Charter Hawks (Miami, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Academy for Innovative Education will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 70-44 non-league win over Calusa Prep (Miami, FL).
