Alaska High School Basketball - Kalskag can't hold off Akiachak

The Akiachak Huskies basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Kalskag Grizzly Bears to 48 in the Huskies league triumph on Friday.
The Huskies now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Akiak for a 1A Greater Kuskokwim contest on Saturday, January 28. Akiachak will battle a Thunderbolts team coming off a 92-17 league loss to Aniak (Aniak, AK). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 1-8.
The Grizzly Bears (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Aniak (Aniak, AK). The Halfbreeds enter the 1A Greater Kuskokwim contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Aniak nudged Akiachak (Akiachak, AK), 75-17, in a league contest.
