The Altoona Mountain Lions basketball team (Altoona, PA), was nudged 51-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Cumberland Valley Eagles (Mechanicsburg, PA)
The Eagles now possess a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Dauphin for a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth battle on Monday, January 30. Cumberland Valley will confront a Rams team coming off a 62-49 league win over Harrisburg (Harrisburg, PA). The Rams record now stands at 8-11.
The Mountain Lions (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Carlisle (Carlisle, PA). The Thundering Herd come into the Mid-Penn - Commonwealth battle with a 11-6 record. In their last battle, Carlisle edged State College (State College, PA), 69-58, in a league battle.
