    The Anderson County Mavericks basketball team (Clinton, TN), was toppled 59-51 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Halls Red Devils (Knoxville, TN)

    The Red Devils now possess a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carter for a non-league battle on Monday, January 30. Halls will confront a Green Hornets team coming off a 74-44 league win over Seymour (Seymour, TN). The Green Hornets record now stands at 17-6.

    The Mavericks (9-11) will now prepare for their battle against Gibbs (Corryton, TN). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Gibbs beat Northview Academy (Kodak, TN), 68-63, in a league battle.
