The Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats basketball team (Anna, IL), was overwhelmed 61-40 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL)
The Lions now possess a 18-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benton for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. Carterville will confront a Rangers team coming off a 60-52 league loss to Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Rangers record now stands at 17-7.
The Wildcats (8-16) will now prepare for their battle against Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL). The Redbirds come into the non-league battle with a 4-15 record. In their last battle, Frankfort was overwhelmed by Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL), 69-43, in a league battle.
