North Carolina High School Basketball - Forestview can't hold off Ashbrook

January 27, 2023: Gastonia, NC 28054

The Ashbrook Greenwave basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Forestview Jaguars to 45 in the Greenwave league triumph on Friday.

The Greenwave now sport a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelby for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30. Ashbrook will battle a Golden Lions team coming off a 60-34 league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 13-5.

The Jaguars (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers enter the 3A Conference 50 contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Kings Mountain nudged North Gaston (Dallas, NC), 55-49, in a league contest.
