The Austin Catholic Crusaders basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the host Detroit Cristo Rey WOLVES to 37 in the Crusaders league victory on Friday.

The Crusaders now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cabrini for a Catholic Intersectional II contest on Tuesday, January 31. Austin Catholic will battle a Monarchs team coming off a 60-40 league loss to Our Lady of the Lakes (Waterford, MI). The Monarchs record now stands at 4-10.

The WOLVES (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Our Lady of the Lakes (Waterford, MI). The Lakers come into the Catholic Intersectional I contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Our Lady of the Lakes edged Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit (West Bloomfield, MI), 51-47, in a league contest.
