Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Becker Bulldogs (Becker, MN), 69-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Big Lake upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Princeton (Princeton, MN) to clash with the Tigers in a AAA Section 5 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Princeton won 82-70 in their recent non-league bout against Hermantown (Hermantown, MN)

Next up, the Bulldogs face the St. Michael-Albertville Knights (Albertville, MN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 28. Becker will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 6-8 record after their 81-63 non-league loss to Hopkins (Minnetonka, MN).
