In Friday's non-league outing, the Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN) basketball squad edged the visiting Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights (St. Louis Park, MN), by a count of 75-72.

The Wildcats (4-10) will now prepare for their outing against Chaska (Chaska, MN). The Hawks go into the AAAA Section 2 outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Chaska held off Hastings (Hastings, MN), 83-50, in a non-league outing.

The Red Knights now hold a 11-3 record. They play next when they host Academy of Holy Angels for a AAA Section 6 outing on Saturday, January 28.
