The Springdale Prep Lions basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Bethel Academy Eagles to 52 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Zion Prep Academy for a Freelance contest on Tuesday, January 31. Springdale Prep will meet a Warriors team coming off a 59-46 non-league loss to Shabach Christian Academy (Landover, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 17-11.

The Eagles (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Avalon (Wheaton, MD). The Black Knights enter the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Avalon was routed by St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD), 77-63, in a league contest.
