Boyden-Hull Comets (Hull, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rock Valley Rockets (Rock Valley, IA), 51-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Boyden-Hull upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Comets host West Lyon (Inwood, IA) to play the Wildcats in a Siouxland bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 10-4. West Lyon won 56-55 in their recent league bout against Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA)

Next up, the Rockets play the Okoboji Pioneers (Milford, IA) in a Siouxland bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Rock Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 63-43 league loss to George-Little Rock (George, IA).
