The El Modena Vanguards basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Brea Olinda Wildcats to 54 in the Vanguards league triumph on Friday.
The Vanguards now sport a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Dorado for a North Hills contest on Tuesday, January 31. El Modena will meet a Golden Hawks team coming off a 64-53 league loss to Esperanza (Anaheim, CA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 14-12.
The Wildcats (10-16) will now prepare for their contest against Esperanza (Anaheim, CA). The Aztecs enter the North Hills contest with a 15-11 record. In their last contest, Esperanza nudged El Dorado (Placentia, CA), 64-53, in a league contest.
