Texas High School Basketball - Friona overwhelmed by Brownfield

The Brownfield Cubs basketball team scored 93 points and restricted the visiting Friona Chieftans to 23 in the Cubs league victory on Friday.
The Cubs now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lamesa for a 3A Region I District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Brownfield will battle a Tornadoes team coming off a 59-42 league win over Denver City (Denver City, TX). The Tornadoes record now stands at 25-2.
The Chieftans (4-22) will now prepare for their contest against Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Bobcats come into the 3A Region I District 3 contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Dimmitt triumphed over Brownfield (Brownfield, TX), 53-43, in a league bout.
