Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA), 51-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Buffalo Gap upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Bison travel to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA) to play the Green Hornets in a Shenandoah bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Green Hornets go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Wilson Memorial lost 42-36 in their recent non-league bout against Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA)

Next up, the Gladiators play the Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Riverheads will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 59-46 non-league win over Monticello (Charlottesville, VA).
