Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) and the visiting Derry Trojans (Derry, PA), saw Burrell's basketball squad overcome Derry by a tally of 57-48.

With the victory, Burrell improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Bucs travel to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to confront the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Deer Lakes lost 74-67 in their recent non-league challenge against Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge, on Monday, January 30. Derry will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-18 record after their 61-26 league loss to Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA).
