Little Falls Mounties (Little Falls, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Canastota Red Raiders (Canastota, NY), 71-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Little Falls upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Mounties host Cooperstown (Cooperstown, NY) to play the Hawkeyes in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Hawkeyes come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Cooperstown lost 63-35 in their recent league bout against Waterville (Waterville, NY)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Herkimer Magicians (Herkimer, NY) in a Section 3 Center State II bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Canastota will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Magicians come into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 62-60 league loss to Dolgeville (Dolgeville, NY).
