Washington High School Basketball - Gig Harbor thwarts Capital

The Gig Harbor Tides (Gig Harbor, WA) basketball knocked off the host Capital Cougars (Olympia, WA), 73-63 in Friday's league test.
The Tides (15-1) will now prepare for their test against North Thurston (Lacey, WA). The Rams go into the 3A South Sound test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, North Thurston notched a victory over Yelm (Yelm, WA), 74-55, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they host WF West for a non-league test on Saturday, January 28. Capital will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 65-50 league loss to Tumwater (Tumwater, WA). The Bearcats record now stands at 12-5.
