The Carlton Bulldogs (Carlton, MN) basketball crushed the visiting McGregor Mercuries (McGregor, MN), 66-42 in Friday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida (Cloquet, MN). The Ogichida go into the A Section 7 test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida was trounced by Chisholm (Chisholm, MN), 88-53, in a league test.

The Mercuries now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Northland for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. McGregor will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 82-79 league win over Deer River (Deer River, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 14-1.
