Texas High School Basketball - Chavez topped by Westbury

The Westbury Huskies basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Chavez Lobos to 51 in the Huskies league victory on Friday.

The Huskies now sport a 9-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lamar for a 6A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Westbury will battle a Texans team coming off a 53-51 league win over Heights (Houston, TX). The Texans record now stands at 14-9.

The Lobos (9-19) will now prepare for their contest against Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, TX). The Tigers come into the 6A Region III District 18 contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Houston Math Science & Tech was defeated by Westbury (Houston, TX), 91-55, in a league contest.
